Jus ended our mentorship training camp.. Woots! It's just so fun! GREAT! It was better than i expected.. Think this blog entry may b a bit lengthy..
Well, at first Tang, Angelyn n myself were reluctant to go for this camp until Bernard somehow brainwash us to join.. So we signed up.. Gosh..
.Tuesday.
The first day we were dragging our feet to the campsite. We had to sleep in one of the tutorial rooms.. We sat together, played games.. One of which was the blow wind blow.. Though it is a very common game, our forfeit was interesting.. Putting powder on the face. This blow wind blow was somewhat different from the rest. Confusing game at first but soon we got used to it. It was qte fun though but my leg hurts after all that squatting.. hahax.. Opps.. From that game, we got to know of our buddy.. Yupz, Jing Yi.. Nice, sweet, friendly and quiet (hey, take positive feedback huh...) we got to choose our seniors.. We chose Jeremy n Veronica. They were the first group to be filled with group members. That s0unds nice. Ferdy was abt to join us but the group had a dozen of mentors already. Initially, we were all too shy wif our other fellow mentors. Guess that this always happens.. Btw, in our group there's Angelyn, Lei Teng, Tang Wee, Cheryl, Wai Siong, Katherine, Jing Yi, Samuel, Siti, Nisa, Peng peng and myself. I think Angelyn's has the pictures of our group members.. Hehex.. Go n check it out.. We appointed Nisa as our captain or rather we preferred it to be called our representative. We chose a group name.. SILENT-KILLER.. Why? Cos all of us were very quiet at first.. hahaz.. Other groups are named Dynamite (group1), T.E.A.M (group 3), King Kong (Group 4) and Bisons (Group 5). Btw, Marie, your physio guy in our group oso leh.. jealous right? We all call him the pretty boy.. Btw, if u dunno his name, she, i mean he is wai siong.. (delibrately).. We made our declaration and played games such as entanglement (co-ordinated by cheryl) and another which we had to be blindfolded.. Well, we had 2 rounds.. We tot that the second round we can do better but it wasnt.. We were the last..Well, we arent dismayed.. It was just that our stategies didnt worked out.. All the games planned for us has some meaning behind it. Basically, we end off the day early, going back to our dorms, bathe n sleep.. Unfortunately, most of us didnt sleep.. We jus cant sleep.. Either the room is warm, the floor is too hard or cant adapt to the new environment, other than that, the rest knocked off (which i can say it is few in numbers..) Tang, Janice and myself helped Angelyn to wash her hair at 4am in the morning cos all of us cant slp a wink.. hahax.. And thanks, the next day we were nagged.. Cos we arent supposed to bathe on the 5th floor.. Opps
.Wednesday.
Long day ahead of us.. Well, the games we started off qte badly.. Stick me followed by the tennis ball game.. We have to walk with our pens holding the tennis ball to n fro.. We didnt succeed after so many attempts.. Most of us were heartened.. So we had the mindset of...... Kk, shessh.. we were 2nd from the bottom. Our team was qte discouraged but somewhat things changed.. We did better after that.. Great! We even topped the ping pong ball game! We didnt noe we'll be the first.. Our cheers really purked us up.. After lunch we had card war.. We were very affected by it.. The entire campers.. Well, for our group we tot that our opponent n us could draw the game in order to tie the 2nd n 3rd placing, unfortunately we lost due to some miscalculation. Well, Jeremy feels bad abt it. We were given a choice to abide and we chose to do so.. It is not ur fault.. It's ok.. We dun blame u for what happened. T.E.A.M our opponent felt qte bad.. We wanted to win, in fact we were on the winning side.. Kelvin, our trainer was talking abt trust n mistrust.. There were so many lessons to b learnt. We played jump too! I'm so glad! It brought me back memories of SRJC.. We always play that during our breaks.. Gosh, i missed those times.. But we enjoyed ourselves.. King Kong n T.E.A.M had zero all the way until the end.. And surprisingly, they both won! We played treasure hunt, going round the school.. And thanks to that, my leg muscles hurts.. hahax.. Exhuasted... at night, we had feedback from our group members thinking have we put in our 100% effort.. We all did a good job! Giive a pat on our backs.. We were supposed to play another blindflod games (Jing Yi n I noticed tat there are too many blindfold games in this camp. Jing Yi dislike being blindfolded due to past experience).. Gosh. We gave that a missed cos it was gettin far too late n we were tired.. The penalty for losing was to eat a biscuit with wasabe.. Yucks! Tried a bit though, n Jeremy can eat that jus like normal.. Hahas.. Good for him.. We illegally went to the tennis court at night.. Played the sua ku game.. The place was qte dark n eerie, not a single soul there. Well, had fun with our group. Forfeit: Girls to confess their love and guys to strip.. Unfortunately, Siti n Kat lost.. Siti confessed to Guo Jie n Kat to Wai Siong.. Hahax.. Expected.. Anyway, on our way back to the dorms, our seniors caught us n reprimanded us.. "The security called up and said that they saw a lot of people roaming around NYP..." Yup, so we went back to our dorms.. On our way back, we saw Jeremy, which we were supposed to b staying up to tok to him n veron at night.. Sad to say, Mr Jared was there and he kept telling us to go back... One senior some sort of questioned us in a negative way until Kat was pissed off by her. We obeyed their instructions and went back to our rooms. The seniors kept coming in a do a head count.. They even on the lights and woke us up. I was too tired that point of time that i was lazy to get up.. Opps.. Had more rest today..
.Wednesday.
Had a great commotion this morning regarding the incident. We were told that there were some people who are supposed to b in their dorms but not there and stuff.. The entire "forum" went on for few hours.. Our butt hurts.. Seriously.. But qte a lot of people voiced out their opinions. I admire Wai Siong for his courage.. I dun think i can ever do that to my sir.. Well, but in some way, it was good.. Room for improvement. We played the last game. We went together as a group, played together as a group and most of all, had fun as a group! 3 cheers for SILENT-KILLER!!! Hahax.. Last day, many were taking pictures.. Going to miss all of them! Aww... Hope we can meet up soon! Plus, our attachment is like next mth.. Gosh.. And now in com lab blogging.. Miss my hp.. I have not touched my handphone for the last 2 days.. Hmm, wonder if i will b receiving a lot os smses a not.. Last of all, i would like to wish SILENT-KILLERS all the best in our future endeavours!!! Love you guys! You all made my day~ *WOOTS*
